Gender Equality and Inclusion

There is increasing effort by organizations to enhance gender equality and inclusion in their projects/programs towards respecting and protecting human rights and fostering opportunities for gender inclusive and equitable participation in economic and social development. SPANTRACK support clients to integrate gender and establish an enabling environment towards contributing to life changing processes that advance gender equality and empowerment of women and girls. To realize this, we employ participatory approaches in our work, that ensure inclusivity of all groups in their diversity, and understanding of the the contextual and historical inequalities that are embedded in certain systems.

SPANTRACK believe that capacities, practices, and behaviours need to change both on a system as well as individual level. Therefore, our work focuses on institutions, regulations, and structures, but also on communities, individuals in their gender diversity. Some of the services we provide include:

  • Supporting inclusive development through the application of rights-based approaches, gender mainstreaming and gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) across all sectors;
  • Strengthening institutions and empowering organisations to mainstream gender and social inclusion and promote women’s social, economic and political empowerment;
  • Conducting context-specific gender analysis, assessments and planning including designing inclusive monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks and gender-sensitive indicators;
  • Facilitation of training courses, workshops & seminars;
  • Provision of technical assistance in gender equality and inclusion
